No resident companies, selling to Portuguese private households or to users other than private households, electric equipment, batteries, oils, vehicles, and tires, (and packaging) have to nominate a local Authorized Representative until 01/Jan/2022.
The requirement of nominating an Authorized Representative for all EPR products is written in the Portuguese waste law (Decreto-Lei 152-D of 2017) but, up to now, was only effective to EEE (electric and electronic equipment).
This request also applies to foreign companies already registered for these products, which must appoint an Authorised Representative until January the 1st, 2022.
