Why do you need an Authorised Representative in Portugal?

If you have no establishment in Portugal and are selling directly to Portuguese end-users products such as:

Electric and electronic equipment, batteries, oil, tires, vehicles or any packed product,

You MUST APPOINT a local Authorized Representative (Portuguese EPR law: Decreto-lei 152D/2017).

You MAY also have an Authorised Representative if you are based in EU, have no presence in Portugal but only local distributors and if you do not want to rely your compliance in the hands of those distributors.
